Jewel of the Fjords
Suggested program for larger family or group travel; or, Self drive individual travel.
This tour is from one very special place—the incredibly scenic Skei Resort area. The tour will captivate you with daily expeditions and calm you with tranquil nights, all on the shores of Lake Jølster. This journey is specifically designed for travelers who prefer to stay longer than a day or two in one location. The Skrede family, owners of the Skei Mountain Hotel, provide daily escorted sight-seeing excursions rather than moving from one area and hotel to another. They also include special evening entertainment centered on colorful Norwegian traditions, music and folklore!
The village of Skei is nestled next to the pristine Lake Jølster, which you can enjoy from The Nordic Company preferred lake-view rooms overlooking the entire valley. The Skredes are extraordinary hosts and have been special friends of The Nordic Company for many years! Together, we are proud to offer a complete tour that covers these fascinating daily excursions.
