This fully escorted program features three of the most inviting capitals in Scandinavia. Travel through “Wonderful Copenhagen, Oslo and Bergen as well as the magnificent fjords and scenic countryside of Norway ending in charming Stockholm, Sweden.


Day 1: Overnight transatlantic flight from your U.S. gateway city

 

Day 2: Copenhagen Arrive in Copenhagen and take your transfer (included) to your centrally located hotel. As evening approaches, join your tour escort for a festive dinner at the memorable Tivoli Gardens.


Day 3: Copenhagen – Oslo After a leisurely breakfast, a three-hour city tour of Copenhagen awaits. You will see City Hall, Christiansborg Palace, the Old Stock Exchange, Nyhavn Canal and the new Opera House. Photo stops will be made at the Royal Residence, Amalienborg Palace and the famous Little Mermaid. Take the afternoon to stroll the pedestrian street, Størget, before a coach at 3:30 pm takes you to the DFDS Pier for your 5:00 p.m. departure. Enjoy your evening with the many opportunities for entertainment on board!


Day 4: Oslo After a generous breakfast buffet, disembark at 9:15 a.m. to board your coach to take you for a three-hour city tour starting at 10:00 a.m. Sites include Akershus Fortress, Parliament, City Hall and the Royal Palace. A visit to Vigeland Park follows to see the unparalleled sculptures of Gustaf Vigeland. Continue with a drive toward Holmenkollen to see the famous ski jump. Lunch is on your own before checking in to the hotel.


Day 5: Oslo – Geilo Today’s journey meanders along the shores of the Tyrifjord to Hadeland for a visit to Norway’s oldest glassworks factory. Continue through the Halling Valley via Gol to the historic stave church in Torpo. End in Geilo at a famous ski resort for dinner and overnight.


Day 6: Geilo – Flåm – Stalheim After famous regional specialties for breakfast, catch your 10:15 a.m. train to Myrdal. Upon arrival, change to the famous Flåm Railway, arriving in Flåm at 1:05 p.m. Lunch is on your own before a 3:00 p.m. departure on an express boat for a two-hour cruise on the Aurland and Nærøy fjords, nestled in the arms of the majestic Sognefjord Mountains. In Gudvangen, disembark at 5:00 p.m. and drive the narrow road to your mountaintop hotel in Stalheim.


Day 7: Stalheim – Bergen – Hardangerfjord – Stalheim Today is a full-day excursion to Bergen. Following your arrival in Hanseatic Bergen, your guide will take you on a short orientation tour of the wharf displaying the Fish and Flower Market. After a few free hours in this charming city, you return to Stalheim via an alternative route along the shores of the Hardangerfjord and Steindalsfossen Falls.


Day 8: Stalheim – Sognefjord – Geiranger After another delectable breakfast, descend to Vinje, where the ferry crosses from Vangsnes to Hella. This panoramic journey continues by ferry along the idyllic Fjærlandfjord. Here, you delve into the Jostedal Glacier before continuing through Skei and Loen along Horningdal Lake to Hellesylt. You end with an unforgettable cruise at 5:00 p.m. threading through the fjords to see the famous Seven Sisters Waterfall, then to Geiranger.


Day 9: Geiranger – Lillehammer Awake and enjoy a short drive to Dalsnibba for an unparalleled view of Norway’s surroundings. From here, a stop will be made for the perfect opportunity to see one of the few remaining stave churches in Lom. After a quick look at the home of the trolls—Gudbrands Valley—get ready to experience the feel of the ‘94 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. After a short orientation of the sites, stroll the Størgata before dinner.


Day 10: Lillehammer – Karlstad – Stockholm Today’s journey crosses the Swedish border through the forest-clad landscape into Karlstad. After lunch next to the beautiful Klaralven River make your way along the 13th King’s Road to the final destination, Stockholm.


Day 11: Stockholm Following another impressive breakfast, you embark on a private three-hour city tour of Stockholm. You will visit City Hall, the site of the Nobel Peace Prize banquet. Then enjoy a panoramic view of Fjellgatan Street, Royal Palace and Parliament ending with a stroll in Gamle Stan (Old Town). Spend the afternoon at your leisure to shop or jump on a canal cruise of the many islands in of Stockholm.


Day 12: Stockholm After breakfast, the tour ends. Either take your transfer (included) for your transatlantic flight home or continue your stay withone of many possible extension options.
