Iceland Northern Lights Tour
Private tour of Iceland the Aurora Borealis in March - (The Northern Lights). Dates times and prices determined subject to availability. Northern lights (aurora Borealis) only visible in dark winter period late september through March.
Itinerary

Day 1, JFK to Reykjavik.
Board Iceland Air or Delta non-stop for Keflavik Airport. Departure is at 8:35pm.

Day 2, Reykjavik.
Upon arrival at Keflavik Airprot, our guide will meet you for the private transfer from the airport to Reykjavik. You will drive along the mountain track with a stop at the Krysuvik Geothermal area - a fine introduction to Iceland. You will have a short city tour of Reykjavik before arriving at the hotel for relaxation - individual time in Reykjavik in the afternoon. Dinner on your own.

Day 3, Reykjavik - Hveragerdi.
After Breakfast at the hotel our driver guide will take you for a full day tour to Thingvellir, Gullfoss & Geysir. The tour ends at Hotel Øk in the Greenhouse village of Hveragerdi - the hotel is a fine place for enjoying the Aurora Borealis & the hotel has a big swimming pool with natural heated water, hot pots & steam huts for the exclusive use of the guests.

Day 4, Hveragerdi.
After Breakfast at the hotel you will have a day at leisure in Hveragerdi - optional excursions by private car or maybe an optional horse riding tour. (We recommend 2 nights outside Reykjavik to improve the chances to see the Aurora Borealis - (The Northern Lights).

Day 5, Hveragerdi - Reykjavik.
After Breakfast at the hotel you will take a full day tour by private car to one of the glaciers of Iceland -
The tour will end at the hotel in Reykjavik. Dinner at Restaurant Kaffi Reykjavik (The famous Fish Buffet)
incl. a visit to the famous Ice Bar.

Day 6, Reykjavik - New York.
After breakfast at the hotel, private transfer from hotel to Blue Lagoon with time for a refreshing bath before continuing to the airport and the flight to New York. Suggest you pack your bathing suit in you carry on luggage so you can enjoy a dip in the warm Geothermal water, a true spa like experience, There are bath facilities, so you can easily change and prepare for your flight home. |
