8 Day tour to US Virgin Islands
Day 1. Chicago -St Thomas
Upon arrival take a taxi to the hotel Best Western Emerald Beach. Evening free. We recommend that you get settled in and have a dinner in the city Charlotte Amalie.
Day 2, St. Thomas
After breakfast, join a guided tour of Charlotte Amalie and the Island of St Thomas.
The afternoon is free to explore the city and the many small alleys and shops. Dinner on your own and overnight at the Best Western Emerald Beach Hotel. (B)
Day 3, St. Thomas – St. John – St Thomas
After breakfast our guide will transfer you to the Ferry for St John. You will be driven by special bus to Red Hook Beach. You may wish just to go bathing and swimming and/or Snorkle. The equipment is available at the beach hut for rental. You will have lunch there. This is truly a fabulous beach which you will enjoy. Late afternoon the Ferry will take you back to St. Thomas. Overnight at the Best Western Emerald Beach Hotel. (B/L)
Day 4, St. Thomas
After breakfast day free to explore city. (B)
Day 5, St. Thomas - St Croix
After very early breakfast, prepare to depart for St Croix, the Island where Victor Borge has his estate. This land, atop a mountain, is now owned by another Dane, Jørgen Jensen, a Danish Furniture importer, Living in Atlanta. The plane is a small one only seats 9 passengers, 1St flight flight 9K Cape Air departs 1030am arrives at 1054am.2nd flight 9K Cape Air departs 1200am arrives at 1224am.Upon arrival the bus will take you to the Caravelle Hotel. You will have the afternoon free to explore on your own or just relax. Dinner on your own in the Capital city Christiansted. Return to the hotel for your overnight at the Caravelle Hotel. (B/D)
Day 6, St Croix
After breakfast, Our guide will meet you at the hotel for a tour of Frederiksted and surrounding area. Here you will stop at the Lawaetz Museum , an old Danish Planters House and learn about the history of this fascinating old Danish Settlement. Afternoon free to explore some of the many delightful little alleys in the city. Dinner on your own in a local restaurant. Overnight at the Caravelle Hotel. (B)
Day 7, St Croix
After breakfast Our guide will meet you at the hotel for a tour yto the Botanical Garden, a Rum Factory and the Whim Plantation Museum another old Danish Settlers House.Here you will learn more about the history of the Settlement, making and tasting of the local Rum. A Lunch is included will be served locally. Afternoon free to explore some of the many delightful corners of Christiansted. Dinner on your own in a local restaurant. Overnight at the Caravelle Hotel. Day 8, St Croix - St Thomas – Chicago
After Breakfast, Morning at leisure before the bus will transfer back to the airport for the two flight to St Thomas making a direct connection to United. 9K 859 departs 1030 arrives St Thomas at 1054 9K865 departs 1230 arrives 1254.
