DAY 01, Dec. 22, Leave hometown.
Departure from the U.S.A.
Day 02, Dec. 23, Bangkok
After a full day in the air you arrive at midday at Bangkok and you will transfer to the domestic Thai International flight to Chiang Mai. There our guide will meet you to transfer you to The Westin Hotel. All meals are served on board. Dinner is on your own at the Hotel.
Day 03, Dec. 24, Bangkok - Chiang Mai
After breakfast our guide will transfer you back to the terminal where you will check in for the Thai International flight to Chiang Mai. You will be met by our guide and transferred to the hotel The Westin Hotel, and you will have the afternoon free. A Christmas eve welcome dinner will be served at the hotel. (B/D)
Day 04, Dec. 25, Chiang Mai
After breakfast our guide will take you for a tour of the most famous temple in Chiang Mai the Doi Suthep Temple. Lunch on your own. Aftrenoon you will visit the Meo Hill Tribe village. You will return to the hotel to freshen up before going to dinner at one of the most famous restaurants Huen Phen. (B/D)
Day 05, Dec. 26, Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai
After earlybreakfast, our guide will transfer you to the airport for your Thai International flight to Chiang Rai. You will be met and taken for a city tour prior to checking in to the hotel The Dusit Island Resort. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon you will take a river cruise on the Mekong River, famous during the Vietnam era for its facilitating transportation throughout Indo-China. This river traverses Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. B/D)
Day 06, Dec. 27, Chiang Rai
After breakfast, you will have the day free to relax or explore the northern province. Dinner at the hotel. (B/D)
Day 07, Dec. 28, Chiang Rai - Bangkok
After breakfast our guide will transfer you to the airport for your Thai International flight back to Bangkok. Here you will be met and transferred to The Chao Phya River for a river transfer to the hotel, The Royal Garden Riverside. Late afternoon you will be taken on a Rice Barge Cruise which includes drinks and dinner and Thai classical dance performed by Children of Thailand. (B/D)
DAY 08, Dec. 29, Bangkok
After breakfast, our guide will take you by bus to the ancient capital of Ayutthya. You will see the ruins and continue to the Summer Palace. Eraly afternoon you will board the Pearl of Siam or similar vessel and cruise back to Bangkok. Lunch will be served on board. Dinner is on your own. (B/L)
DAY 09, Dec. 30, Bangkok - Pattaya
After breakfast our guide will take you for a tour of the Royal Grand Palace. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon your bus will drive you to the beach resort village of pattaya where you will check into the Royal Cliff Hotel. You will enjoya seafood dinner in the village at the Nam Nual seafood Restaurant, returning to the hotel on your own. (B/D)
DAY 10, Dec. 31, Pattaya
After breakfast the day is on your own to relax, enjoy the beach, explore the village or whatever. A new Years eve celebration will take place at the hotel with a festive dinner. Happy New Year! (B/D)
DAY 11, Jan. 01, Pattaya
After breakfast take a day tour to Coral Island for a day of swimming snorkeling, seafood barbeque on the beach etc. You can probably even get a massage right on the beach if you like. Do not forget suntan lotion and protection from the sun! Return to Pattaya for a farewell dinner at The Thai Market at the Royal Cliff.
DAY 12, Jan. 02, Pattaya - Home
After breakfast transfer to the airport in Bangkok for your flight home. You depart Bangkok at 1:30am on KE652, connecting at Seoul. You arrive at Seoul at 8:40am, where our guide will meet you and take you for a city tour of Seoul, Korea. You will also enjoy a lunch there before going back to the airport for your onward flight KE035 departing at 6:15pm arriving at Chicago at 4:05pm. You will arrive back in Chicago the same day on January 2. Welcome home. (B) and all other meals on board.
