23 Day Tour

Itinerary:

Day 01, .

Depart USA for Tokyo.


Day 02,

Arrive at Tokyo making a direct connection to Bangkok.
Arrival at Bangkok at approx. 11:25pm. Upon arrival go through formalities

And cros over bridge from terminal to Hotel Amari.

Day 03,

After early breakfast on your own, check in for Thai International flight departing

for Ho Chi Minh City. After arrival late morning go through formalities, and re-check in for Vietnam Airlines flight for Danang. Upon arrival at Danang, our guide will transfer you to the hotel.


Day 04

After early breakfast take a city tour. Afternoon free for exploring on your own.


Day 05

After breakfast drive to Hoi An a beach resort. Take two days at this wonderful coastal region of Vietnam.


Day 06

After breakfast enjoy the beach.


Day 07

After breakfast drive to Hue. Overnight at Century Inn or similar.


Day 08

After breakfast take a city tour, including The Old Citadel. Afternoon enjoy a cocktail cruise on the Perfume River.


Day 09

After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Hanoi. Our guide will meet you and transfer you to the Sofitel Metropole Hotel,” The Grand Old Lady” of Hotels in Vietnam!


Day 10

After breakfast take a city tour of Hanoi, to Include the famous Hanoi Hilton complex made which became famous during the Vietnam War period. Early evening enjoy a dinner and the Puppet Show. (if performance is on that evening).


Day 11

After breakfast driver will take you for a full day trip to Halong Bay Beach Resort an unusual picturesque setting at the South China Sea. OvernightIn Halong Bay.


Day 12

After breakfast enjoy the day and afternoon driver will return you to Hanoi.


Day 13

After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Our guide will meet you and transfer you to the Rex Hotel. Dinner is on your own.


Day 14

After breakfast take a city tour of Saigon visiting the Imperial Palace, and Cholon the China Town of Saigon. Go through the morning markets and shop for anything and everything. Return to the hotel for the afternoon at your leisure. In the evening we will try to reserve dinner at Madam Dai's restaurant. Madam Dai is a personality from the war period, when she served the South Vietnamese government as a senator, the US government as a liaison and probably the North in some other capacity. We will try to get you an audience with her, as she is extremely interesting, although nothing can be guaranteed. (B/L/D)


Day 15

After breakfast take a full day excursion south to the Mekong Delta.

You will now experience the end of the Mekong after it has passed through Laos, Thailand and Cambodia. This territory is the rice bowl of Indo-China, and an area heavily contested during the Vietnam War era. On return to Ho Chi Minh City you will enjoy a dinner on the river the floating restaurant, unless you decide to change that arrangement. Any time you wish to make changes please arrange that with your local guide. You will arrive back in Saigon late afternoon. You may wish to take in your last evening with dinner at the hotel, or at The Continental Hotel or at another local restaurant and I can recommend VY, perhaps taking a drink on the roof top terrace of the Rex Hotel. Day 16

After breakfast take a full day tour to Tay Ninh, via the Chu Chi Tunnels. You will arrive back into Saigon Airprot late afternoon for your flight VN 740 departing at 5:00pm for Hanoi. Upon arrival at 7:00pm uour guide will meet you and transfer you to the Hoa Binh Hotel Galaxy for your overnight. (B/L)


Day 17

After breakfast today you will have a city tour. Visit The Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, One - pillar Pagoda, Sword lake Ruins of Co Loa citadel. Lunch will be included. and afternoon is on your
own to stroll around the city. Dinner at the Hotel and 8:00pm water Puppet Show. (B/L/D)

Day 18

After breakfast morning and early afternoon is free, at about 1:30pm our guide will meet you and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Angkor Wat (Siem Reap). Vietnam Airlines flight

VN 845 departs at 4:50 and arrives at Angkor wat at 6:55pm. Upon arrival our guide will meet you and transfer you to The Royal Sofitel Angkor Hotel. Dinner at the hotel. (B/D)


Day 19

After breakfast start tour by a Visit to the Rolous Group. The monuments of Rolous, which served as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned from 877-89), are among the earliest permanent temples built by the Khmers and mark the beginning of Khmer classical art. See the temples of Preah Ko (erected by Indravarman I in the late 9th century and dedicated by the King to his ancestors), Bakong (the largest and most interesting of the Rolous group temples, with its active Buddhist monastery) and Lolei (built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir by Yasovarman I, the founder of the first city at Angkor)
Lunch: Own account
Afternoon: Visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emlazoned on the Cambodia flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean beyond. Watch sunset from Phnom Bakheng, one of two hills dominating the plain of Angkor, from where you will have a spectacular view of the Western Baray and the surrounding plain.

Day 20
After Breakfast: Visit Thommanun, Chaosay Tevoda, Ta Keo and Ta Prohm temples. One of the area's most beautiful temples, Ta Prohm has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Continue to Banteay Kdei (surrounded by four concentric walls), Sras Srang ("The Royal Baths" was once used for ritual bathing) and Prasat Kravan (with its unique interior brick sculptures). Afternoon: Visit Banteay Srei temple (10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Then transfer to the airport for the flight of PG-937 at 17:40 to Bangkok.
At Bangkok airport our guide will meet you and transfer you to the Montien Riverside Hotel.

Dinner at the hotel on your own.


Day 21

After breakfast at the hotel our guide will meet you for a bus excursion to Ayutthaya the ancient capital, and runs. You will join a bus with outer tourists. You will continue to the Summer Place

The Versailles gardens of Thailand. You will board the Pearl of Siam and sail back down the Chao Phya River, a 3 to 3 ½ hour cruise back to Bangkok, with Lunch being served on board.

This is an excellent way to get a feel for Thai life on the rivers and klongs. Late afternoon you

Will return to the Hotel. You may wish to take the hotel water taxi across to the other side and

Walk to the famous Oriental Hotel for a drink on the Oriental terrace. Dinner on your own.

Should you feel for a fancy dinner, a top the Oriental in the Normandie Grill, jackets are required for Gentlemen. Overnight at the Montien Riverside Hotel. (B/L)


Day 22

After breakfast take a tour of Bangkok to the Grand Palace. Return to the hotel for the afternoon free for shopping. Dinner can be recommended at the Seafood Palace, the hotel can arrange for a car to take you there, even bring you back. . Overnight at the Montien Riverside Hotel. (B)


Day 23

A very early rise and transfer to the airport for your flight home. You must be there at least 2 hours prior so you should leave hotel at 4:00am at the very latest.

I recommend you ask the hotel to bring you a sandwich or something simple for breakfast in the room, otherwise have breakfast at the airport after you have gone through all formalities. The flight departs about 0700am arriving at O’Hare at approx 2:30pm same day!
