ITINERARY
Day01 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing
Day02 Beijing - Urumqi
Fly to Urumqi, the captital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Day03 Urumqi - Tianshan Mountains
Drive to Tianshan Mountains, visit the Heavenly Lake, the Xinjiang Museum.
Day04 Urumqi - Turpan
Drive to the Southern Mountains vally, a grassland, visit the Kazak yurt, then drive to Turpan, visit the irrigation system - Karez, Emin Mineret. Enjoy the Uygur dancing and singing.
Day05 Turpan - Dunhuang
Visit the ruins of ancient city Gaochang, Beziklik Thousand Buddha Grottoes, ancient Astana Tombs, the Flaming Mountains. After dinner catch the night train to Dunhuang.
Day06 Dunhuang
Drive to Dunhuang, visit Mogao Grottoes, Mingsha Hill, Crescent Moon Lake.
Day07 Dunhuang - Jiayuguan
Drive to Jiayuguan, visit the Great Wall of Jiayuguan.
Day08 Jiayuguan - Lanzhou
Catch the night train to Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province.
Day09 Lanzhou - Xi'ning
City sightseeing of Lanzhou in the morning, such sa the Yellow River etc. At noon catch the 4 hours' train to Xi'ning the capital of Qinghai province.
Day10 Xi'ning - Qinghai Lake
In the morning drive to the Qinghai Lake, the biggest salty lake in China, visit the Tibetan yurts and talk with the Tibetan people. Drive back and visit the famous Ta'er lamasery, one of the Tibetan center of Lamaism.
Day11 Xi'ning - Lanzhou
Catch the train back Lanzhou in the morning.
Day12 Lanzhou - Xi'an
Fly to Xi'an in the morning, visit ancient city wall, big wild Goose Pagoda.
Day13 Xi'an
Visit the Terracotta Warriors, Huaqing Pool.
Day14 Xi'an - Huashan Mountain
Drive to Huashan Mountains, ascend to the top of mountain by cable car and enjoy the attractions of Huashan. Descend by car in the afternoon, drive to Xi'an.
Day15 Xi'an - Shanghai
Fly to Shanghai, visit the Bund, Yu Garden.
Day16 Shanghai
leave Shanghai for your hometown.
