As soon as you board Venice Simplon - Orient - Express, you are shown to your private compartment of gleaming wood, polished brass, soft fluffy towels and crisp linen. Your comfortable compartment is a restful retreat offering panoramic view over the surrounding countryside.

DAY 1
Arrive in the romantic city of Venice, where you are met and transferred to your hotel to begin a two-night stay. Selected Hotel

DAY 2
Today you may choose one of the following optional sightseeing excursions: Venice orientation by foot and motor launch; a walking excursion featuring some of Venice's hidden treasures along with a visit to the lagoon islands of Murano and Burano; or a visit to some of the elegant villas along the Brenta River. DAY 3
This evening board Venice Simplon - Orient - Express in time for an elegant   dinner. As the train travels toward Prague, settle in for the night in your beautifully appointed sleeping compartment. Venice Simplon - Orient - Express (B, D)

DAY 4
Arrive in charming Prague this afternoon, with the remainder of the day at leisure to explore this surprising city on your own. Selected Hotel (B, L)

DAY 5
Spend the morning on an optional sightseeing excursion of one of Central Europe's loveliest cities, visiting Prague Castle, St.Vitus Cathedral and the Strahov Monastery. Selected Hotel (B)

DAY 6
Board Venice Simplon - Orient - Express to travel west toward Paris. Venice Simplon - Orient - Express (B, D)

DAY 7
From Calais Ville, cross the English Channel on the Eurotunnel Shuttle and board a British Pullman carriage for the final leg of your journey to London. Arrive in London and transfer to your hotel. Selected Hotel (B)

DAY 8
You may choose one of the following optional sightseeing excursions: Salisbury, Stonehenge and the Roman city of Bath; the Cotswolds countryside and the colleges of Oxford; the royal residences of Windsor Castle and Hampton Court; or a cruise on the Thames River to Greenwich and the Thames Barrier. DAY 9
Transfer to the airport to board a homebound flight. (B)

If you choose to disembark Venice Simplon - Orient - Express in Paris, the optional sightseeing excursions in Paris on Day 8 are: Paris orientation including a visit to the world-famous Louvre Museum; Monet's home at Giverny with a stop in the village of Vetheuil; or a visit to the wine region of Champagne.
