Day 1, Thu: USA - Prague.
Board your overnight flight to Prague.
Day 2, Fri: Prague. Arrive in Prague, transfer to your hotel and start exploring the town.
Day 3, Sat: Prague. Morning sightseeing reveals thousand-year-old Hradcany Castle, the Old
Town, the Jewish ghetto and many other major sights. The afternoon and evening are free to mix
with the locals at Wenceslav Square, shop for souvenirs or enjoy one of the charming restaurants.
Day 4, Sun: Prague - Pilsen - Nuremberg. Morning guided motocoach tour through the Czech
Republic. Stop in Pilsen, the world’s most famous beer brewing town. Tour a local brewery and then
continue to Nuremberg to board your ship. Tonight gather on board for a Gala Welcome Dinner.
Day 5, Mon: Nuremberg. Enjoy a morning tour of this historic city with its elegant patrician
houses. See the storybook 900-year old ramparts that surround the city, the Imperial Castle and the
Justice Palace where the War Crimes Tribunal sat in 1946. At lunchtime, continue to transit the Main-Danube
Canal as you arrive at the highest point of your cruise before descending to charming
Beilngries, where Bavarian folklore entertainers are waiting with some hearty Oompah music.
Day 6, Tue: Danube Gorge - Regensburg. This morning arrive in Kelheim and embark on an
exciting boat trip through the lovely Danube Gorge to Weltenburg Abbey. Return to your ship in
Regensburg, one of Germany’s best preserved medieval cities. A guided tour will show you the city’s
highlights, including the Old Town Hall, and the Porta Pretoria – gates to an ancient Roman fort built
in 179AD. Marvel at beautiful churches and one of the oldest bridges crossing the Danube.
Day 7, Wed: Passau - Salzburg - Linz. After breakfast arrive in Passau, where the rivers Inn
and Ilz join the Danube. Here, board your modern bus for a full-day tour to Salzburg and its most
popular Sound-of-Music sights including Nonnberg Abbey, the Wedding Church, Mirabell Gardens,
the Great Salzburg Festival Hall and much more. A festive lunch celebration will further highlight this
wonderful tour. Stroll through Salzburg’s narrow Getreidegasse before returning to your cruise ship
in Linz. After dinner, take a walk through this delightful town.
Day 8, Thu: Melk - Dürnstein - Vienna. Cruise through the Wachau Valley early this morning. A
guided tour takes you to Melk’s magnificent Benedictine Abbey. At lunchtime, continue on a short
cruise to Dürnstein. Above town you’ll spot the ruins of the castle where Richard the Lionheart, the
King of England, was imprisoned in 1192. Your walking tour through medieval cobblestone streets
reveals 16 th century town houses and wine taverns. Tonight arrive in Vienna, the "City of Music".
Day 9, Fri: Vienna - Bratislava. Today savor the baroque elegance of Vienna. A sightseeing
tour includes Hofburg Palace, the Vienna Opera House, the majestic Ringstrasse and St. Stephen’s
Cathedral. At lunchtime continue to nearby Slovakia. A guided tour of Bratislava reveals the Old
Town Hall, Mirbach Palace, St. Martin’s Cathedral and breathtaking views from Bratislava Castle.
Day 10, Sat: Budapest. Today start at historic Buda Castle, from where you have a splendid
view of the twin cities of Buda and Pest. Your tour also features St. Stephen’s Basilica, distinctive
Fisherman Bastion, the marvelous Royal Palace and more. Free afternoon to explore on your own.
Tonight gather on board for a Gala Farewell Dinner with gypsy violins.
Day 11, Sun: Budapest - USA. Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
